It's official, after 4 years in the making the first 'legal' Varsity amateur MMA fight night between Oxford and Cambridge took place March 10th at the Iffley Road Sports Hall. After the previous competitions in 2020 and 2022 where Oxford won 5-0 this time Cambridge came to challenge with a new coaching team and much stronger striking which ended in a 2-2 draw with 1 no contest. This meant Oxford retained the trophy as current champs. There were some great fights to see various University fighters and I was so proud of all the hard work in and out the cage.
